ALT Was Awesome

Indeed my venture off to ALT was just as they said it would be: "clever and smart and beautiful and kind...like a weekend getaway with your best friend..." except I went alone!  Just call me one very brave girl.  It might have been the most big girl thing I've ever done, but it didn't take long for me to feel settled into the scene.  Everyone was really so nice.  And smiley!  I loved offering a smile and receiving one in return.

My partner in crime for most of the conference was Jessie of Shop Sweet Lulu.  You may know her as the stripey straw, larger than life balloon queen bee!  If you haven't purchased from (or visited) her shop before, oh man, it's a must.  She carries the most darling party products that will make any celebration that much more cute!  Jessie and I have been "e pals" since last year, but we totally hit it off upon officially meeting each other.  We had many things in common (including a business name we both wanted to use!) and she certainly made my ALT experience extra special.

It was also great to catch up with familiar faces such as Brittany from One Charming Party, and meet new faces such as Kathryn from Snippet & Ink, Alison from Ingredients, Inc. and Becca from Cake.  

The whole experience was dripping with inspiration, information, and of course style.  And speaking of style...high buns, over sized dark rimmed glasses, cool jewelry, bright lips, and stripes galore were the dominant looks you saw this year at ALT.  OH! And sequins!  Can't forget the the plethora of sequins and sparkle that would show up a Vegas showgirl on any given day!  Of course I loved it, being a lover of the sparkle myself.

All in all, it was a wonderful experience and I walked away with new goals and a clearer vision for my business.  Stay tuned for a highlight reel of my experience (in true Suzanne likes to make lists fashion) as well as a round up of my favorite business cards I collected.  I have a few that knocked my socks off.
