LOVE letters and such

Today marks the final day of sharing images from the "LOVE is in the details" inspiration shoot.  Thank you for obliging me!

This particular station, referred to as "LOVE letters," actually had a double dosage of...well, love letters.

The first being these babies.  I happened upon these huge paper mache like letters about 3 years ago while I was helping design my sister's wedding.  I have since been waiting for the perfect opportunity to deck these type of letters out again in some other fashion. Chenille yarn, newspaper, rose petals, and fabric+burlap made the cut this time around.  Can you tell I am obsessed with using texture?!

And how cute are those garlands?  Jeanna and I have a mutual friend Heather from the blog Whipperberry...maybe you've heard of her before or have seen her incredible talents somewhere in the blogesphere?  Well we enlisted her help in whipping up some garlands for us and my, didn't she do a wonderful job?!   We loved them!

The second usage of LOVE letters were a stack of actual ones written between Jeanna and her husband back when they were courting each other years ago.  I know!  How sweet is that?!  And how special to have fallen in love over good old fashioned love letters?!  I think this was a particularly special touch and I knew we had to incorporate it into this station somehow.

For the very last station, "LOVE at first bite," the intent was to create inspiration for a sweetheart table for say a wedding or special event.

We used these rad doors as a backdrop, and then set the scene accordingly with place settings, a lovely centerpiece, etc.

And for the final behind the scenes tidbit, well this concept to hang lampshades in a tree came to me while shopping at Target a few months back.  Yes ,Target.  I love the look of hanging decor, so one day while I was in the lampshade aisle, an idea popped into my head that it might look cool to find interesting lampshades and embellish them with doilies, lace, rosettes, etc. and then hang them in staggering heights in a tree.  I hadn't seen that one done before, so my fingers were crossed that the concept wouldn't be a total design disaster!  This was the outcome.

And at last, our table would not have been complete if it weren't for the incredible centerpiece that Kylee of Stylish Stems created for us.  My centerpiece skills basically stopped with finding the wood box and tying it up with a burlap bow!  So I gladly handed over the assignment from here with a general direction of where to take it, and I was beyond pleased with the end result.  I love the beauty that pairing fresh flowers and garden vegetables brought to the table.

And speaking of bringing goods to the table, I would like to extend the biggest THANK YOU to all those involved in helping create this inspiration shoot for Jeanna.  I am beyond appreciative for all the hard work, effort and LOVE that went into it.   Styling a shoot that was consistent and harmonious with Jeanna's overall brand of her business was very important to me, and through all the helping hands, I dare say that we did it!   What an absolute honor it was to work on this LABOR OF LOVE and if I can say it again, LOVE truly was in the details.
